Mark Sutton, Service Director at Liberty Hygiene commented;
“At Liberty, we’re committed to being as green and as environmentally friendly as we can. We have recently become a Carbon Neutral company and we have achieved this through various innovations and initiatives that we have implemented, including the products we use, what and how were cycle, and offset projects around the globe. BigChange supports this ambition by making the best use of the mobile resources we have, and by reducing our reliance on paper processes and workflows.”
Before Liberty Hygiene made the switch to BigChange it used multiple packages to manage its fleet and mobile workforce including separate tracking, workload, timesheet and vehicle check systems. Having heard about BigChange at an IWSA event, Liberty requested a demo and, based on its end-to-end functionality, made the decision to implement. Now, using BigChange, Liberty has transformed its day-to-day operation and management.
Daily vehicle checks, guided through the BigChange app, ensure vehicles and drivers are ready for the day, and the road, ahead, and fleet managers have early notification of any issues or potential defects. Whilst intelligent scheduling, up to a year in advance, combined with vehicle tracking, helps Liberty maximise the use of its environmentally friendly fleet. Alongside savings already achieved through the use of electric vehicles and the use of BigChange Fuel, a newly launched fuel card offering, this is saving of around £400 per week in fuel costs alone.
CRM tools, including the issuing of quotations and the management of sales enquiries from start to finish, are helping Liberty boost its customer service and the company plans to integrate BigChange with its accounting system to automate its invoicing reducing the potential for errors, improving cashflow and reducing unnecessary admin. Management at Liberty are also benefiting from advanced analytics and reporting dashboards which allow for informed decision making and long-term planning.
Sutton continued;
“Our teams are often on-site before anyone else making sure everything is as it should be. Using the app, we record date, time and location stamped photographs, together with any additional information which can be shared with the customer to prove we have completed the works as directed,”
“In addition to the fuel savings, in the region of £400 a week, the environmental gains, and the improvements in the quality and efficiency of the service we deliver, I would say that using BigChange we are saving between 3-4 hours a day, every day, in the general management of the business. This is an amazing resource that can be reallocated to other areas to further improve our sustainability and future growth.”
