Did you know that over 75% of our users who started using the new Job Finance features have said they are doing invoicing faster and more efficiently? Building on these successes, I am excited to share the latest news from the Product Team here at BigChange.
As a Lead Product Manager, I'm happy to keep this blog series going and dive deeper into our progress. Our Product Oriented Delivery teams (PODs) have been working hard to create new, helpful features like the batch invoicing tool, which has helped save a lot of time for many of our customers. We can't wait to keep building on this success in the coming year.
Today, I want to focus on how these new features can help your business and why it's essential to use them.
For the past 18 months, I've been focused on improving our Job Finance module. I wasn't a finance expert when I started, but I have listened to and worked with a lot from finance directors, financial controllers, and the users who handle job finance on the BigChange platform daily.
They taught me essential things like accruals, liabilities, nominals, and Job WIP. One big lesson I've learned is how vital clear and accurate communication is when dealing with complicated financial matters. I appreciate all the time and knowledge they have shared with me.
We've made significant improvements in solving problems within Job Finance. This includes more straightforward financial reporting that helps our customers see job profitability better. It also provides batch invoicing, which lets you bill for multiple jobs at once to save time, and consolidated invoicing, which makes billing easier for complex jobs. Finally, our newest purchase invoicing feature helps you manage supplier invoices more smoothly.
The first issue we tackled was financial reporting. This helps our customers' Finance and Operations teams get valuable insights into how profitable their jobs are. When our customers use these new tools every day, the platform can automatically generate reports and dashboards that help their Finance and Operations teams gain valuable insights.
We have also changed how our customers can invoice their jobs. We worked closely with our Customer Success & Learning teams to make the transition to these new invoicing tools as easy as possible.
Our award-winning learning team created in-app guides and training materials to help customers adopt these new tools independently and make them a natural part of their work. One customer even said, "The in-app guides made the transition seamless, and we were able to improve our invoicing process significantly within just a few weeks." But we know that this change takes time and effort.
To help with this, the Product and Customer Success teams have hosted helpful customer forums at BigChange HQ to spread the word and encourage adoption. One great takeaway from these forums is how early users have seen significant improvements in invoicing, setting an excellent example for others.
We work closely with our customer-focused success team at BigChange to ensure they have the training they need to help customers make the changes to their business processes. Once adopted, these changes help eliminate inefficiencies and improve productivity overall. If you need any support, please reach out to us at support.bigchange.com.
We've introduced new invoicing features, but that's not the end. We keep looking at how these features are used and learning from our customers. This helps us keep improving, and more upgrades are planned to make invoicing even easier.
We're working on a solution to help customers understand their accrued liabilities better and make matching purchase invoices easier. This will improve the overall purchasing experience.
Throughout our projects, we have focused on ensuring our customers know our features, adopt them, and keep using them long-term. For example, one of our early users of the new invoicing feature reported cutting invoicing time by 20% after making it part of their daily routine.
Working with finance teams taught me that making changes takes time and care. Not every company has a single person to push transformation. So, consider adopting our newest features to meet your efficiency and savings goals for 2025. Let's make 2025 a year of positive change with BigChange.
I hope this blog shows you what we've been working on and the exciting things to come. Stay tuned for more updates from the Product team in the coming months.
