Introduction:

In a move that strengthens the global capabilities of both organizations, Simpro Group is thrilled to announce its acquisition of BigChange. CMO of Simpro Group Rachel Truair sat down with Gary Specter, CEO of Simpro Group, and Richard Warley, CEO of BigChange to discuss the acquisition, what it means for BigChange employees, and how BigChange’s product will integrate with Simpro Group’s global offerings.

Q1: Gary, can you explain why Simpro Group decided to acquire BigChange, and what it means for the company’s future?

Gary Specter: Absolutely. Simpro Group and BigChange have been serving a multitude of markets with a similar vision of transforming field service management through innovation. Acquiring BigChange was a strategic decision to accelerate growth and expand our product portfolio. Together, we’ll be able to deliver more robust solutions for customers in the field service industry, backed by our combined global reach and resources. The acquisition also allows us to deepen our focus on innovation, enabling us to better serve existing customers while attracting new ones worldwide.

Q2: Gary, how do you see BigChange complementing Simpro Group’s existing global offerings?

Gary Specter: BigChange brings an incredibly complementary product set to our existing portfolio. While Simpro Group has historically excelled in industries like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC with a deep focus on project and asset management, BigChange offers a platform that excels in fleet management, mobile workforce scheduling, and reporting, which are key growth areas for us, as well as expertise in serving the Building Maintenance and Equipment Rental verticals. This means that together, we now cover an even broader range of complementary industries and field service needs. BigChange’s strength in mobile workforce solutions and real-time data reporting also enhances our ability to deliver end-to-end visibility and efficiency for our customers, regardless of the region or sector.  Customers will know that no matter the stage or industry, Simpro Group will have a product to support their growth in field service management.

Q3: Richard, what message would you like to share with BigChange employees following the acquisition?

Richard: First, I want to express how proud I am of what we’ve achieved at BigChange and assure everyone that this is an incredibly positive step for us. By joining forces with Simpro Group, we’re taking BigChange to the next level. Our employees remain at the heart of our success, and this acquisition means even more opportunities for growth, both professionally and personally. Simpro Group is known for valuing its people, fostering innovation, and driving excellence. I’m confident that this new chapter will provide more career development paths, greater support, and a platform for our teams to collaborate on a global scale.

Q4: Gary, how does Simpro Group plan to integrate the two companies, and what does the future hold for BigChange?

Gary Specter: Our approach to integration is thoughtful and collaborative. We believe in the strengths of both companies, so we are committed to preserving what makes BigChange unique while integrating the best practices of both organizations. In the short term, it’s business as usual, with a focus on ensuring both Simpro Group and BigChange customers continue to receive the high-quality service and support they’ve come to expect. Over time, we’ll leverage the combined expertise and technology to deliver new features and enhancements that will benefit BigChange customers. Importantly, we’ll also be leveraging product expertise and efficiency across the group. By streamlining development efforts, we can focus our roadmap on differentiation and drive long-term growth.

Q5: Lastly, what excites you most about the future of this partnership?

Gary Specter: What excites me most is the potential for growth – not just for Simpro Group and BigChange, but for our customers, partners, and employees worldwide. We’re unlocking new possibilities by combining our expertise, and I’m eager to see how we can continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in field service management. Together, we’re poised to continue to push the industry to new heights across the UK market.

Richard: I share that excitement! The future of BigChange within Simpro Group is incredibly bright. We’re now part of a truly global team with the resources and ambition to achieve great things. By integrating our strengths and focusing on differentiated product development, we can offer customers a broader product offering that helps them solve real-world challenges. Our shared mission of delivering innovative, cutting-edge solutions to customers around the world is what inspires us every day, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together.

Conclusion:

The acquisition of BigChange by Simpro Group is a significant milestone, not just for the companies involved but for the field service management industry as a whole. With shared values, complementary products, and a commitment to innovation, this partnership promises to create new opportunities for employees, customers, and the broader market. Together, Simpro Group and BigChange are well-positioned to support the unique needs of the field service management industry.
